Going from tape to memory. Need advice from several users.

Im ditching my tape camera and I am completly DUMB to all the new camera stuf. My questions are does the recorded video always load faster and what type of camera format should I use with Bogart 3.2 Should I buy a 24i, 30p, 60p or 30i ? Should I stay away from 24p ? I tried out a camera $1000 { format was only 60i or 24i } at a store and took the SD card back to my editor. It took 20min to load 3min of HD footage. If the card remained in the camera would it download faster ? I owned a Sony Pro 3 sensor 1/3 size tape and it was great till it died. What else do i need to look for to feed into my 3.2 Bogart which only has a { 30/60 i or P choice }. What specs should I look for. Im hoping for several different opinions. Thanks
