Photo Studio 2 and the S4KP

I can't wait til Photo Studio 2 is available for my S4KP, but in the meantime, I cut a piece using my old AVIO to do the animation. And it worked like a charm.

Here's how I did it, if you guys want to know.

I scanned the photos out of a book and Photoshopped them. The book was written by the subject I interviewed (he gave me permission).

Then I put them on SD card and imported them into my AVIO. I set the AVIO project in 16:9 because I was taking it to my S4KP. Then I put the animated photos onto a storyboard with one second black scenes in between them.

I then exported to tape and captured to my S4KP.

As an aside, I could probably have just exported from the AVIO to the S4KP, which I did with my documentary feature and it worked well.

The capturing into the S4KP was a little odd, because the photos were on tape in DV and I wanted to take them into an HDV project. So, I created a separate project and then added the captured scene into the clipboard and then converted the DV to HDV into the final project. From there I added the photo animations where I wanted them.

I'm sure that the there are easier ways to do what I did, but this approach worked well for me. Please give me your thoughts. And Happy New Year!

Next to viewing the PBS Vienna Philharmonic program on New Years Day, that interview was the best TV fare of the day for me.

Thanks guys! I love the part about Orson Welles. I'm hoping to shoot a short film with Mr. Terrail about his experiences with Welles at the end of Welles life.

Anyone into movies would be interested in such stories I think.

The next thing I want to learn how to do with my S4KP is use CBPaint 2. Seems like I could add some cool stuff to my interviews with that product.
