I have completed a dvd of a person giving a lecture and then there are 6 quetions to be discussed. I then have # 1 question
appear on screen for approx. 8 seconds. At this point the person will push PAUSE to discuss the question and then move on to the next question etc.
PROBLEM: when you push pause at the question the font then becomes distorted and is a little difficult to read.
It will pause perfect on my 22'' HDTV, on my regular TV and on a video monitor---no problem. But it is out of focus on the clients 46''hdtv. I have tried 7 different dvd and screens. 5 work fine 2 do not.
the font is LYNN size 45 on Kron+ OS7 Arabesk 4.
The client will be selling the dvd's so they must work on all setups, Would appreciate a simple magic solution so as not to type in all the questions again ( there are about 100 questions) covering 13 topics.
HELP????

Re: Font Blurred when Paused
We are talking video resolution here. How many letters or words are there per line? This line would not hold up well on TV
This line would with larger fonts.

Re: Font Blurred when Paused
There are only 4 -5 lines of text between 45 & 55 font size, but it is very clear on some tv's and is blurred on others when you freeze it in the pause position. I have now completed a short demo dvd with different types of font with shadow or without shadow and will try it on the clients TV. I am also going to bring my dvd player to try on his TV. will let you know. Thanks

Re: Font Blurred when Paused
Sometimes the problem can be in the tv's ability to handle the demand of high contrast when there is white text over dark images. You haven't told us what color the text is or what the background consists of. You could try several things including
1) Using a light gray for the text instead of pure white (if that is what you've been trying),
2) Using a medium gray outline around the text. This reduces the contrast between light colored text and a dark background. Experiment with the size of the outline.
3) Using a lighter background rather than something dark like a solid black or other solid dark color.
